Shepherdsmate sheep handling race can be used as static or mobile. It is highly innovative and high quality construction and has 9 key functions.
CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE ITEMS R12, R13 & R14 IN THE N.I. FARM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT CAPITAL GRANT SCHEME
The main handler has a unique 3-way drafting gate for drafting sheep all from one position. A foot pedal operates the back gate. Sheep are standing at the operator's hand height. There are non-return flaps fitted in the race. The weighing is integrated into the unit. All Tru-test weighers are Bluetooth compatible with EID sticks or handheld readers and the TGM software package is used and it is possible to read and draft on weight and flock management. An 8ft footbath, sponge with 2 hurdles, and Guillotine gate are linked to the exit of the handling unit and it can be extended in 8ft sections.
You can have the following attachments which can be inserted into the main sheep unit:
- The Rollover is adjustable to any size of sheep or lamb for foot care, dagging, and drenching.
- The Sheep Squeeze Clamp is fully adjustable to different sizes of sheep for dosing, vaccinating, and tagging and the Sheep shearing flap is a spring-loaded flap for shearing and a support pole for holding the shearing equipment.
- The circular forcing pen is situated behind the race to hold sheep in place before guiding them into the race complete with a swing and slide gate
